━━ ‍SAFETY ASSIST · FOR ORGANISATIONS

Someone is threatening one of your people.

Your manager has about ten minutes to decide what to do next.

Safety Assist gives them somewhere to take it. One call reaches a specialist who has handled this exact situation before, and funded response follows if the situation warrants it.

It protects the person at risk. It also builds the record that protects your organisation.

24/7 A specialist answers, not a message service

Funded Response paid under policy, up to your Schedule limit

━━ WHEN YOUR TEAM WOULD USE IT

Safety Assist responds when there is an aggressor.

That is the test. If a person is threatening, following or intimidating someone in your workforce, Safety Assist responds. If the harm is coming from the work itself, it does not, and something else in your framework should.

━━ WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR TEAM CALLS

Your manager does not have to know what to do. They only have to make the call.

The hardest part of these situations is the first decision, made by someone who has never made one like it. Safety Assist removes that decision from your manager and gives it to someone who does this for a living.

━━ YOUR ROLLOUT, YOUR DECISION

You decide who holds the number.

Access is set by you, not by us. Most organisations give it to managers and HR as a first-response tool, so the person who receives a disclosure has somewhere to send it immediately instead of improvising. Others extend it across the whole workforce.

Either model works, and it can change as you go. What matters is that the decision is made deliberately at implementation rather than discovered during an incident.

━━ ‍WHAT THE POLICY PAYS FOR

You cannot insure the incident. You can insure the response.

No policy stops an ex-partner turning up in your car park. What Safety Assist does is make sure that on the night it happens, the accommodation, the security and the specialist are funded and already moving.

The policy pays the Response Consultant's fees and expenses directly, up to the limit set in your Schedule. Nobody in your organisation is seeking spend approval at 11pm.

What it does not do. Safety Assist does not indemnify you for the underlying loss, and it is not workers compensation and not an EAP. It funds the response, which is the part you would otherwise be paying for out of pocket while working out what to do.

Coverage is delivered under policy wording SSA-L-02 and is subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of that policy. Benefits are available up to the limit set in your policy Schedule.

━━ WHERE THIS SITS IN YOUR RISK FRAMEWORK

Your policies are administrative controls.

This is the response control.

For risk, HR and WHS teams, Safety Assist is the operational response layer for defined psychosocial incidents involving aggression, workplace violence, stalking and domestic violence spillover. Your psychosocial policies, training and reporting channels sit in the administrative controls layer. They are essential, and on their own they do not respond to anything.

Safety Assist activates when a hazard reaches a person. It is the layer that converts a written obligation into a documented response with specialists behind it.

━━ AFTERWARDS

The incident creates the exposure. The response creates the record.

When a serious incident is examined later, scrutiny turns to what your organisation knew, what it did next, whether the response was proportionate and whether those decisions can be demonstrated. Most organisations can produce a policy. Far fewer can produce a timeline.
